Gay parents choosing egg donation to build their families face several unique challenges to the pathway to parenthood, and can benefit from gay parenting resources created by those who have gone before them. In addition to the potential social stigmas involved with same-sex parenting and overcoming the prejudices of others, there are complex choices to be made during the various steps of the journey: selecting a gay-friendly egg donor, choosing a gay-friendly surrogate, as well as selecting an attorney well-acquainted with the intricacies of securing parental rights after a child is born.
With this in mind, we have compiled a short, yet valuable list of LGBT-centered, gay parenting resources to help you throughout your pathway to parenthood, providing you with the social and emotional support you may need as you navigate your family building path.
Founded in 2012 as a peer support network for gay fathers, Men Having Babies (MHB) offers workshops around the world, while providing a treasure trove of online educational resources for prospective fathers to be.
