You’ve identified an egg donor candidate from our donor program whom you connect with and who has the special attributes you’ve identified as important to your family building journey. We’ve discussed with you your selected egg donor’s availability to undergo treatment to prepare for the egg retrieval procedure, as well as have discussed the legal arrangements and financial responsibilities throughout your egg donation cycle. With these preliminary details in order, you are ready to begin the egg donor matching process.
The egg donor matching process, which culminates in the official selection of your special egg donor, is coordinated following the five steps which we’ve outlined below:
Step #1 – Our office will email you the retainer agreement for your official egg donor selection. At the same time, we will place a short courtesy match hold on your selected egg donor’s file, providing you seven days to complete and return our retainer agreement.
Step #2 – Following the detailed instructions we provide you, please read through the retainer agreement thoroughly and sign the necessary documents.
Step #3 – Return your completed retainer agreement to our office by mail, together with the financial deposit for your egg donation cycle.
Step #4 – Upon receipt of your retainer agreement, our office will counter-sign the agreement, then email a scanned copy along to you to keep safe with the rest of your cycle-related documents.
Step #5 – Our office will send official match notification along to your selected fertility center.
Once you’ve completed the official egg donor matching process, the medical staff at your fertility center will begin coordination of initial screening for your selected egg donor candidate. Please see our article regarding the screening process for more information about the next steps after matching, or contact our office if you’d like to discuss the matching process in more detail.
