On behalf of our patients, both egg donors and hopeful parents, we have taken steps to minimize the risk of financial loss resulting from medical complications born through an egg donation cycle. While egg donor complications are highly uncommon, we know you’ll feel better planning for the “what if” scenario, and we’ll feel better, too.
As a result, we assist our hopeful parents in securing egg donor complication insurance coverage through New Life Agency, underwritten by Lloyd’s of London, for the reasonable and customary medical expenses associated with egg donor complications deemed medically necessary. Coverage provisions are outlined below.
MAXIMUM BENEFIT AMOUNT
$250,000.00 Egg Donor Combined Single Limit Coverage
$100,000.00 Accidental Paralysis Coverage
$100,000.00 Accidental Death Coverage
120 days from the start date of first treatment.
The egg donor complication insurance benefits provided under the complication policy are for complications, only, and do not apply to medical expenses for complications including but not limited to sickness, disease, or infections, except those which result from an injury; sexually transmitted diseases; pregnancy of the egg donor or hopeful parents; mental, nervous, or psychological complications; or the routine cost of an egg donation cycle. For a complete list of policy exclusions, please contact Creating New Generations.
Please note that our subscription to this plan of egg donor complication insurance is not an assumption of liability on the part of our office; rather, we have simply transferred as much of your risk to an insurance company as possible, such that you worry less about the “what if” situation and more about the “what comes next” process of your egg donor journey.
